A Precious Child's Boutiques are satellite resource centers that are located in schools and shelters and are dedicated to providing basic essentials for children in need. Through A Precious Child's main Donation Center in Broomfield, we stock schools and agency partner Boutique locations with age-appropriate clothing. Our goal is to meet the need where it's at by providing clothing and other basic essentials to children in need so they can thrive in school.
Boutique Volunteers play an interregnal role in making sure that each of our boutique locations continues to serve children and families with basic essentials through an empowering shopping experience. Volunteers will ensure that their assigned boutique locations have the inventory that they need to continue to serve clients. This position assists the Store Manager by shopping in the resource center when needed to complete inventory requests, works close with Store Manager to deliver, replenish and organize areas throughout the boutique and ensures all boutiques provide a dignified shopping experience to children and families in need.
The time commitment is very flexible and will depend on organizational and staff needs. However, we ask that volunteers be able to provide a six-month commitment and willing to lead at least two or more Boutique locations. We are looking for individuals who are detail oriented and enjoy working with the public. A Precious Child is seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Volunteer with experience in general maintenance and repairs to assist our staff with general duties, help fix damages, assist with projects and maintenance, help with odd jobs, etc. This position will work closely with our Donation Center & Warehouse Manager to ensure the overall up keep, safety and maintenance of our 26,000 square foot facility.
If you are someone with a strong knowledge or skill set in any of these areas; plumbing, carpentry ,electrical issues, wiring, common home/facility improvements and up keep, then we are looking for you! The time commitment for this position will vary depending on organizational and staff needs. However, the position does require a minimum commitment of 10 hours a month.

The role of our Client Services Receptionist is to create a welcoming atmosphere by providing a dignified and respectful experience through upholding A Precious Child's core values and are passionate about our mission. This position will help greet families as they arrive for their shopping appointment, provide excellent customer service, answer general inquires, make outgoing phone calls to clients about appointment reminders and assist Client Service Team as needed.

Deliver sacks of weekend food to schools using any size vehicle. You can bring 25 to 150 bags to one location or more . Pick up is at Jeffco Eats and delivery locations are in Lakewood, Edgewater, Arvada, and Wheat Ridge. When you arrive we tell you where you will go and number of bags. You can load your car with use of dolly and handtrucks. Many schools will come with carts to your car and bring food into the school. Some apartments will help you offload and others do not have that help.

The Rocky Mountain MS Center's Hydrotherapy Program offers individuals of all ability levels a variety of exercise opportunities, including adapted swimming, deep and shallow water aerobic exercise, balance and flexibility, and training options.The water's resistance results in more controlled movements and participants experience an independence denied to them in other environments. The goal is to help adults and seniors living with MS become stronger and more flexible in body and mind. Participants spend two hours in the pool working on improving their strength, balance, coordination and endurance.
We need volunteers to assist in the pool, monitor participants, and to help in the dressing room. We are very flexible with scheduling.
Hydrotherapy takes place on Tuesdays from 1-3pm at Englewood Recreation Center and Friday 9:30 - 11:30am at Athmar Recreation Center. Please contact Michele Harrison, the Rocky Mountain MS Center Hydrotherapy Coordinator, at 720-273-7461 for more information/to schedule.
The Conflict Center is seeking volunteers to read to students in Metro area schools on Thursday afternoons throughout the school year. Volunteers read books related to peacemaking, relationship building, problem-solving and violence prevention to small groups of, usually 2-3, students. Students are asked to discuss the concepts in the books with volunteers in order to create a positive, interactive time to promote learning. Each reading session is 30 minutes long and volunteers typically visit 3-4 classes per Thursday afternoon. The Conflict Center provides an extensive collection of children's literature for volunteers to choose from. Volunteers are required to complete a brief training session and complete a background check. Bilingual Spanish-speaking volunteers are always needed.
Jeffco Eats rents a 17 ft UHaul moving truck for drivers to collect food at the Food Bank of the Rockies (I-70 and Havana) on Friday mornings starting at 8am. Will have to maneuver UHaul to back up to FBR's dock and then FBR will load pallets of food into the UHaul. Drive food to Jeffco Eats where volunteers will unload the food. Drivers pick up and return UHaul to rental place. Need valid drivers license and load is about 5000 to 7000 lbs. Insurance coverage provided. 8am to 11:30am.

Covenant Cupboard Food Pantry - Volunteers are needed every Friday to help unload and sort food in the mornings between 8:30-12:30. In the afternoon from 12:30-4:30 you can assist with distributing food to clients, loading vehicles and clean up.
