What is a Service Enterprise?

A Service Enterprise is an organization that fundamentally leverages volunteers and their skills across all levels of the organization to successfully deliver on its social mission.

Spark the Change Colorado, formerly Metro Volunteers is bringing the Service Enterprise Intitative (SEI) to Colorado through a comprehensive change management certification process that includes a research-based assessment, training, coaching and certification.

Why Get Certified?

The benefits to getting your organization or nonprofit certified are countless. Here are some of the fundamental ways Service Enterprise can help you.

  • Certified organizations that engage volunteers have almost half the median budget of their peers without volunteers.

  • Every $1 invested in effective volunteer engagement yields $3-$6, which is a 300%-600% return for certified organizations.

  • Nationally certified organizations are listed as such through prominent donor avenues including Points of Light, GuideStar, etc.
