Food Pantry Volunteers Needed Immediately
To ensure that our community has access to food and supplies during the COVID-19 public health crisis, the Jewish Family Service Weinberg Food Pantry is providing boxes of food to anyone currently experiencing food insecurity.
We are seeking healthy volunteers to help sort food, pack boxes, distribute boxes, and assist with the arrival of donations. Volunteers must dress appropriately for a warehouse setting and be comfortable with lifting cans and boxes. Children ages 12 and over are welcome to volunteer with an adult.
Sign up for shifts at our SignUpGenius page.
In an effort to take every precaution and prioritize health and safety for our clients, volunteers, and staff, people in need of food will not be entering the pantry. Boxes of food will be distributed by a "drive-thru" system directly outside of the pantry. Please do not volunteer if you are experiencing any symptoms of illness or are in a higher-risk category.
We are extremely reliant on our volunteers for the success of this program, so please only sign up if you are able to commit your time for the entire shift.
If you are unable to volunteer, please consider making a donation to help us meet our increased need for services. View the JFS COVID-19 Response page for more information about our emergency programs and ways to donate. Thank you!
