Parker Night Lights Volunteer
This is an opportunity to serve as a Night Lights Volunteer.
The Parker Night Lights Kids program provides respite care to kids with special needs and their siblings, ages 1 month to 12 years. Each child is paired one-on-one with a trained, background-checked volunteer. There is a nurse on site for all Night Lights events to tend to the children with medical needs. Each evening, the children enjoy a variety of activities such as, sensory and gross motor play, arts and crafts, pet therapy, and movies. Parker Night Lights is from 6:30pm – 10:00pm, on the thrid Friday of almost every month, which gives the kids a night of fun and the parents a much needed night off.
This is a position that requires personal initiative and a passion for serving families who have children with special needs. Interpersonal skills are a must as well as a passion for leading and serving with youth. It is also a very rewarding position as you will get to see first hand the impact you have on people's lives.
Dinner is served to volunteers each Night Lights event. Come join us in the fun!
