What is RSVP?
At Spark the Change Colorado, we believe that folks aged 55 and up have much to contribute to their communities through volunteer engagement in rural initiatives. Rural seniors often have significantly worse mental and physical health outcomes than their urban counterparts, but volunteering can help! Powered by AmeriCorps Seniors' Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) we connect older adults with opportunities that make a difference in their area, while helping them stay engaged and healthy. Spark’s RSVP program is located in four counties across Southern Colorado: Alamosa, Huerfano, Las Animas, and Montezuma.
Where to Start?
Interested in getting started with RSVP? We are currently recruiting both Volunteers and Volunteer Stations. For more information on what it means to volunteer or become a Volunteer Station, or if you're ready to start the volunteer onboarding process, contact the County Manager in your area.
