Global Volunteer Month in April is a time to celebrate volunteers — people working to support communities and drive transformative change. Volunteers, you are the heartbeat of this movement, and we’re celebrating YOU all April long!
Because we know that every act of service builds a stronger community, we call on people everywhere to take action. Throughout this month, you can lend your time, skills, and passion to making a real difference in your own backyard and cause a ripple effect of positive change around the world!

Ways to Get Involved
Spark's 'Caught Caring' Social Media Campaign:
GVM is all about recognizing and celebrating volunteers! Nominate your organization's volunteers, friends/family in your life who volunteer, or even self-nominate (let's brag a little!) for Spark's 'Caught Caring' social media campaign. All you need is a photo, name of volunteer, and brief description of how they engage and give back to their community. To nominate a volunteer for recognition, submit this short form. Follow Spark the Change Colorado on Facebook and Instagram to follow along all April long!

VOLUNTEER:
1) Volunteer with Spark's Mental Wellness Program in Denver - In recognition of Global Volunteer Month, Spark the Change Colorado, in partnership with Project Helping, is hosting an in-person opportunity on Saturday, April 27th to create Kynd Kits for Spark volunteers who provide care in our community. Specifically, the kits will be given to Spark's Mental Wellness volunteers who provide free mental health care to those experiencing barriers to accessing care in our community. Full details and sign up!
2) Volunteer with All in Mile High (formerly House1000) - The All In Mile High Initiative, originally called House1000, was activated in 2023 by the Denver Mayor's office with the goal to house 1,000 Denverites by the end of the year. Spark was identified to lead and manage volunteer efforts for this project. While we exceeded this goal by the end of 2023, the work doesn't stop there! We are continuing to lead volunteers to support various projects to house our friends and neighbors who need it in Denver throughout 2024! Find an opportunity that interests you!
