Our Empowering Aging programs engage individuals aged 55 and better across the state. Spark powers two AmeriCorps Seniors Programs: The Senior Companion Program and Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP). These National Service programs promote the independence of older adults aging in their home as they continue to be vibrant, contributing members of our communities. Make a local impact and volunteer with Empowering Aging today!
Senior Companion Program
The Senior Companion Program engages individuals aged 55+ who promote companionship and connection in the older adult community. As a team, volunteers and companions complete tasks like grocery shopping and travel to doctors appointments, but also provide companionship and social engagement. Volunteers provide services independently or at a designated Volunteer Station location. Learn more about how to volunteer, connect as a companion, or become a Volunteer Station in Adams, Arapahoe, Denver, Douglas, Huerfano, Jefferson, Las Animas and Pueblo counties. Learn more >>>
